Who can benefit from visual storytelling training?
The attendees that get the best results are those who have to communicate complex concepts or data-heavy information on a regular basis.
What materials will be used during workshops?
We go analogue with the creative process, using coloured markers, sticky notes, flip-charts, paper and other stationery you can find around the office. Detaching participants from technology allows for greater focus, faster ideation and better quality interventions.
Do I need to know how to design?
Definitely not! This course has specially formulated for non-designers to grasp visual literacy concepts easily and apply these concepts to their presentations or other communication mediums. We teach quick step-by-step shortcuts that achieve better results faster, which can be picked up easily even by complete beginners in design.
Will I be able to design on PowerPoint?
We recommend sticking to analogue methods (think pen and paper) in our 1 day programme so participants do not get distracted by the software, and can focus on grasping the key design principles.
In 2-day programs the option is open for the organization to discuss with our trainers on whether to include PowerPoint instructionals within the workshop. This is not a ‘How-to use PowerPoint’ course – our focus is on understanding design processes and concepts that can be applied across multiple mediums, not just PowerPoint.
